Games & Drills
Game-based learning uses competitive exercises, either pitting the students against each other or getting them to challenge themselves in order to motivate them to learn better. It does this by immersing them in course material so they learn more effectively, and encouraging them to learn from their mistakes.
Games and drills can take place both in and out of a classroom. You can offer points or some other type of reward for winners to encourage participation. Good technologies to use for games and drills include:
- Crossword puzzle makers
- Bingo card makers
- Flash card makers
- Create your own Jeopardy
- Create your own Who Wants to Be a Millionaire
- Create your own Wheel of Fortune
