What is it?
- join.me is a simple, lightweight screencasting app that allows you to share what you see on your desktop with others
- The free version is fully functional and offers many great features, though the “pro” version includes some more advanced options
Features
- Free version:
- Simple screen sharing with up to 250 simultaneous viewers
- Take control of the presenter’s computer with their permission
- Voice calling, chat, and file sharing support during the presentation
- Viewing apps available on iOS and Android devices
- Pro version:
- Specific window sharing, as opposed to the entire desktop
- Swap presenters in the same presentation (the person who’s sharing the screen)
- Advanced security features
Getting started
- Navigate to join.me
- Select the pro or basic version on the left side under “share” and then click the orange play button
- After the small file is downloaded to your computer, run it to begin sharing your screen
- Invite others to your presentation by sending them the link in the join.me control bar, or have them enter the 9 digit code at join.me
