Census Seat
Restricted access Census Bureau data on persons, households and businesses is available for research projects through Rutgers' membership in the New York Census Research Data Center (NYCRDC). In order to access this data, research proposals need to be submitted to the NYCRDC and approved by the data providers. For more information regarding Rutgers involvement with the NYCRDC, please visit the Rutgers Research Data Center Initiative site.
Access to the Census Seat is funded via a cost sharing effort.
To work with this restricted access Census data, one would use the NYCRDC facilities.
This presentation will give you an overview of the data available through the Census RDCs, present examples of how projects have produced innovative research in addition to benefitting Census Bureau programs and cover how to plan a project and prepare an RDC proposal.
