LabView

The Office of Vice President of Research and Economic Development is pleased to announce that Rutgers now has a site license agreement with National Instruments for their LabView software. Site licenses such as this are important steps towards establishing a University-wide Site-licensed Software Collection for the Rutgers Community. This site license provides for downloads and use on all Rutgers owned machines as well as machines owned by faculty and staff.

Software available to Faculty and Staff

To download the software, visit http://software.rutgers.edu, login with your NetID, and then search for LabView. The full package is being developed for Windows only while the basics some parts available for Mac and Linux.

Student access to LabView

Typically, students will be able to access LabView in departmental labs where supplemental equipment is set up.

Building a User Community

Based on the response by other site license communities, a mail list has been created to foster the LabView User Community at Rutgers. To join, login here. Postings are made to this site to note when new versions are made available via http://software.rutgers.edu, to survey the LabView community for training topics, to advertise LabView training sessions, to notify users when LabView has been renewed and passcodes are available at the Software portal, and to provide updates on installation as well as reactivation.
