Maple
Maple site license is provided via a cost sharing effort and includes the Maple Toolbox for Matlab.
The Maple site license provides for installation on Rutgers owned systems as well as systems owned by faculty and staff.
Students can either use Maple in the public labs or on the ICI systems (clam, eden, or pegasus) with X Windows from their PC or Mac from the Dorms, RUWireless, or from a high speed network connection from home. X Windows is available for Macs on the system DVD while for Windows they can follow installation instructions at "Setting up Cygwin for the purpose of X11 forwarding" and "Tunneling X Windows Sessions with WinSSH".
OIT Camden and Newark are piloting XVNC remote access to Maple. NB faculty wanting to try either of these pilots for their class should contact oirt@rutgers.edu for assistance. To review basic documentation for this capability, click here.
To download the software, visit http://software.rutgers.edu/, login with your NetID, and search for Maple using the search box in the upper right of the page.
In response to faculty requests, a mail list has been created to foster the growth of a Maple User Community. If you are interested in joining, subscribe by logging in here. As the user community grows, other collaborative opportunities will be possible via this Sakai site.
If you have questions regarding downloading or installation of this software please consult your local unit computing specialist or send email to oirt@rutgers.edu
