Mathematica
Mathematica site license is provided via a cost sharing effort.
The Mathematica site license provides for free installation on Rutgers owned systems as well as systems owned by faculty and staff. A limited number of webMathematica licenses are available (please contact oirt@rutgers for further information).
Students can access Mathematica in the public labs, or from eden, pegasus, or clam with X Windows from their PC or Mac from the Dorms, RUWireless, or from a high speed network connection from home. X Windows is available for Macs on the system DVD. For Windows, they can follow installation instructions at "Setting up Cygwin for the purpose of X11 forwarding" and "Tunneling X Windows Sessions with WinSSH".
To download the software, visit http://software.rutgers.edu/, login with your NetID, and search for Mathematica using the search box in the upper right of the page.
In response to faculty requests, a mail list has been created to foster the growth of a Mathematica User Community. If you are interested in joining, subscribe by logging in here. As the user community grows, other collaborative opportunities will be possible via this Sakai site.
If you have questions regarding downloading or installation of this software please consult your local unit computing specialist or send email to oirt@rutgers.edu
