Training & Consultation
Individuals learn in many different ways. Some prefer to read, some prefer to listen, some prefer to watch, and some prefer to do. OIRT provides many avenues for learning about using technology in teaching and learning, including:
- Seminars in efficiently creating hybrid and online courses (upon request)
- Instructional screencasts illustrating how to get started using many technologies
- Text-based documentation, offering step by step descriptions of how to use a variety of technologies
- One-on-one consultation with a member of OIRT’s instructional design staff
- Regularly scheduled and small group training for the Sakai collaboration system
- Training in video capture and editing for screencasts, events, tutorials, and lectures
- Inside the Teachers Studio, in which faculty discuss their own, proven ways of teaching
