Moving Art History Online
There is lots to consider when teaching an online course: discussion boards, readings, grading, online office hours, giving feedback, course videos, online exams, group work, and much more. Taking an existing course and moving it online can seem like even more of a challenge as an instructor tries to figure out how to replicate experiences from face-to-face interactions in the online platform. The instructor might even find assignments that just work differently online, or discover new opportunities for engaging activities.
In this video, we hear what it was like to tackle some of these challenges as the Art History department adapted its History of Art course for online teaching.
